Level description from the Goethe-Institut.
The B2 syllabus covers what the Goethe and telc B2 exams test, in 120 hours of live class.
You practise all four skills in every topic: listening, reading, writing and speaking. At B2 you build vocabulary by topic, from the texts you read and hear in class.
The German B2 exam most students take is the Goethe-Zertifikat B2. It has four modules, which you can take together on one day or one at a time.
| Part | Time | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Reading | 65 minutes | You read forum posts, newspaper and magazine articles, commentaries and regulations. |
| Listening | 40 minutes | You listen to interviews, lectures, conversations and statements from everyday life and the radio. |
| Writing | 75 minutes | You give and justify your opinion on a current social issue in a forum post, and write a formal message in a professional context. |
| Speaking | 15 minutes, in pairs | You give a short presentation on a given topic, talk about it with your partner, and exchange arguments in a discussion. |
60 of 100 points in each module. Each module is passed on its own.
₹21,200 for all four modules, or ₹5,300 for a single module, including GST, as listed by the Goethe-Institut India on 2 October 2026. The exam fee is paid to the exam centre when you book. It is not part of the course fee.
You book online on the Goethe-Institut India website. A valid passport is the only ID accepted at the exam.
You see your result in your Mein Goethe.de account. The exam invitation tells you when.
The Goethe-Institut India says its certificates are valid indefinitely. Ask the embassy, employer or school that will receive yours how recent it must be.
You can repeat a single module as often as you need, so you only retake what you did not pass.
Goethe B2 exam papers and practice tests: the official Goethe B2 practice paper. One set for adults, with answers and listening audio. In the course you also write a mock test every week.
telc B2 exam: telc Deutsch B2 tests the same four skills: reading and language elements for 90 minutes, listening for about 20 minutes, writing for 30 minutes, and speaking for about 15 minutes in pairs.
Live online, so you join from any city in India. Trainers include Raj, who studied at TU Munich in a German-taught program.
120 hours of class in 8 weeks, plus about 2 hours of your own practice on each class day.
Batches of 10 to 12, with 10 to 15 minutes of speaking practice in every class. The B2 speaking exam is a presentation and a discussion, so you practise putting an argument and answering one.
Every class is recorded, and you can send your doubts on WhatsApp between classes.
So the B2 exam pattern is familiar before exam day.
Exam-pass promise: if you don't clear the Goethe or telc B2 exam, you repeat the B2 batch without paying again. This needs at least 80% attendance and the exam taken within 3 months of finishing the level.
Take B2 on its own, or as part of a combo that costs less than paying level by level. The fee is the same for every student.
